CLASSES
A
deposit equal to one half of the class fee is due at the time of signup –
including phone and Internet signups. The
fee does not include the materials needed to complete class projects.
Note: Minimum attendance: four participants, or classes
will be canceled and fees will be refunded.
Classes will start on time - be sure to purchase
materials in advance.
Look
for samples of the projects in the store. A materials list will be available
for the projects. NOTE: The materials cost is a guideline; the
actual cost of materials will depend upon what is chosen for beads and
findings.

JANUARY
WEEK 1: JAN. 10-16:
BEADING FUNDAMENTALS.
Learn the simple but necessary steps to stringing beads professionally. You’ll
learn about stringing materials, tools, findings, beads and how to get started
in the wonderful world of beading. You will make a bead-strung necklace. Fee is
$25. No pre-requisite. The class will be held from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan.
16. Materials fee: $10-15.
WEEK 2: JAN. 17-23:
NEW!!CRYSTAL ENCRUSTED BRACELET. This fun-to-wear crystal bracelet goes
together easily; it is a great beginner’s class! No pre-requisite. Fee is $30.
The class will take place 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17. Materials fee:
$10-20.
WIRE BASICS. Learn the
basic techniques of twisting, shaping and wrapping wire. You’ll get to
experiment with wire-working tools and learn the loop, a simple wire wrap and
the basis of earring construction. No pre-requisite. Fee is $30. The class will
take place 2:00 -4:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23. Materials fee: $10-15.
WEEK 3: JAN.24-30
CRYSTAL FILIGREE BRACELET. In this class you’ll make a two-strand
bracelet using a Swarovski filigree centerpiece. The bracelet is finished with
spacers, Austrian crystals and a clasp. Fee is $30. No pre-requisite. The class
will take place 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. Materials fee: $15-25.
PEARL
KNOTTING. Learn the basic European skill of knotting pearls and
beads on silk cord. Once you know this time-honored technique, you’ll be able
to repair vintage pieces. No pre-requisite. Fee is $30. The class will be held
from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.
Materials fee: $10-$20.
FEBRUARY
WEEK 1: JAN. 31-FEB. 6:
PEYOTE BEADS BRACELET. In this class you’ll make a bracelet with
beads you create using even-count flat peyote stitch. The bracelet is finished
with spacers, Austrian crystals and a clasp. Fee is $30. No pre-requisite. The
class will be held 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31. Materials fee: $15-25.
WIRED PEARL AND GEMSTONE CHIP BRACELET. This pretty bracelet features pearls and
gemstone chips on a multi-strand wire base. It looks intricate, but works up
easily! It’s a new favorite at the Bead Emporium. No pre-requisite. Fee is $30.
The class will be held 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. Materials fee: $8-15.
WEEK 2: FEB. 7-13:
BYZANTINE WEAVE. Once you learn this classic chainmaille
weave, you’ll be able to create a flexible chain that can be used to make a
bracelet, necklace, strap or more. Fee is $30.The class will take place from 2
to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7. No Pre-requisite. Materials fee: $15.
MULTI-STRAND NECKLACE. Tired of making single-strand
necklaces? In this class, you’ll learn about multi-strand clasps, how to use
bead tips or cones and how to vary the lengths of the strands. The class will
be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. Fee is $30. Materials fee:
$10-25.
WEEK 3: FEB. 14-20:
RIVOLI
PENDANT. Learn how to capture a Swarovski rivoli crystal or
gemstone in seed beads, as well as create a seed-bead bail. No pre-requisite.
The class will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. Fee is $30.
Materials fee: $10-20.
NEW!!VIKING KNIT BRACELET. Learn the ancient art of
knitting wire without needles using a few simple tools to create a gorgeous
bracelet. No pre-requisite. Fee is $35. The class will be held 1:00
to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. Kit fee: $22.
WEEK 4: FEB. 21-27:
DOING THE JIG (Part 1). If you want to learn how to create
your own ear wires, clasps and connectors, then this is the class to take! The
Wig-Jig acts as a template to create exact, intricate links. Students will
create two different ear wires, a cloverleaf connector, a clasp and more! No
pre-requisite. Fee is $30. The class will be held 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21.
Materials fee: $25-$35. (Delphi Wig-Jig and small Super Pegs needed.)

CREATE A
ROSARY. A rosary
becomes all the more meaningful when you make it for yourself or a loved one.
This class will sharpen your wire-wrapping skills. Fee is $30. The class will
take place 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28. No
pre-requisite. Materials fee: $25-$55.
WIRE BASICS. Learn the

Using Swarovski crystals in several sizes and 15/0 seed beads, you’ll create an
eye-catching bracelet. No pre-requisite. Fee is $30. The class will be held
2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7.
Materials fee: $15-30.
EUROPEAN 4-1 BRACELET.
Once you learn this great chainmaille weave, you’ll be able to
create a flexible tube that can be used to make a bracelet, necklace, strap or
more. Fee is $30.The class will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday March
13. No Pre-requisite. Materials fee: $15-$35.

Policy--Effective July 1, 2004***
If a student needs to cancel out of a class,
they must do so 48 hours before the class begins. Cancellations made 48 hours
before the class meets will qualify for a store credit coupon in the amount
paid toward the class. Cancellations less than 48 hours before the class and
“no shows” will forfeit the deposit and it will be paid to the class
instructor.
If a class is cancelled by the Bead Emporium,
a refund will be issued.
Store credit coupons become the
responsibility of the student and will expire one year after the issue date.
The coupon must be presented at the time the student wishes to use it. Bead Emporium
will not maintain records on who has or has not used their store credit coupon.
